Wolf River 14A Pedestrian Bridge

In 2021, Chris-Hill finished installing a major cable-stayed pedestrian bridge over the Wolf River. This bridge connected two major pedestrian trails in Memphis: the Wolf River Greenway and the Shelby Farms Greenline.

Arkabutla Spillway Bridge

A bridge was installed at Arkabutla Lake in MS to provide access to the Lake Office in seasons of high water. 

Fletcher Creek Slope Stabilization

A revetment system of interlocking concrete mats was installed to prevent erosion in this creek in Memphis.

Gabion Basket Wall

A gabion stone basket wall was used to reinforce a drainage ditch that was beginning to erode next to BNSF railroad tracks. Empty gabion baskets are set and then filled with limestone riprap to create a free draining gravity retaining wall.

Memphis International Airport Glycol Facility

Chris-Hill wrapped up a $27 million project at the Memphis International Airport in the fall of 2020. Construction of two airplane bridges and a vehicle access bridge were the major components of this project.

Memphis International Airport Control Tower

Chris-Hill installed shoring and the foundations for the new control tower at the Memphis International Airport.

CN Intermodal Gateway Paving

Chris-Hill paved a concrete roadway around the CN intermodal railyard in Memphis, TN.

Wolf River Greenway 14A Concrete Paving

A portion of this pedestrian walkway consisted of paved concrete. Concrete pavement was installed with our Gomaco paver.

BNSF Drainage Arches

A three-barrel storm water drainage culvert was installed under the BNSF intermodal yard in Southeast Memphis.

Pump Station for North MS Fish Hatchery 

Chris-Hill was the General Contractor on construction of a new fish hatchery in Sardis, MS.

Airport Fire Station MSE Retaining Wall

An MSE (mechanically stabilized earth) retaining wall was installed as a decorative retaining wall for the Memphis International Airport Fire Station.

Amazon Sound Wall

Chris-Hill cast and set concrete panels and installed drilled shafts with steel columns for a design build sound absorption wall at a new Amazon distribution facility in Memphis, TN.
